Barbara Healy has a well-earned reputation as a soulful blues singer and a talented, award-winning songwriter. She gracefully carries a history of sharing the stage with many of the great singers and musicians of this era.

Since the 1980s she has been delivering smoking hot music filled with heartfelt soul in bands such as The Allnighterz, The Barbara Healy Band, The I-5 Nine (with whom Barbara last performed at Waterfront, in 2010) and her current big band, Barbara Healy & Groove Too.

Recently, Barbara has also stepped out from Groove Too with her band mates Gerry Rempel and Scoop Mcguire, to play their original music in a trio setting. Gerry’s jazz-infused blues guitar works well with Barbara’s clever lyrics, and Scoop Mcguire’s warm bass provides the perfect platform for this collaborative project.

The Barbara Healy Trio began a writing- and recording-project last year that they hope to release later this year.
