ROY ROGERS is considered one of the world’s premier slide guitarists performing today With 8 Grammy nominations to his credit, he is an internationally acclaimed musician and producer (John Lee Hooker, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott). His previous collaborative efforts include work with Norton Buffalo, Shana Morrison and Ray Manzarek. TRANSLUCENT BLUES, recorded with Manzarek, reached #1 on the Americana Roots Charts and debuted on Billboard’s Blues Chart at #6. As a product of the San Francisco music scene ROGERS’ roots are firmly planted in the blues. Artists with whom he has performed include Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar and many others. He is well known for his riveting live performances with his band, THE DELTA RHYTHM KINGS, consistently stretching the boundaries with his slide guitar.
Throughout 2019, on limited selected dates, ROY ROGERS and THE DELTA RHYTHM KINGS will feature the artistry of multi-instrumentalist CARLOS REYES. The chemistry between ROGERS and REYES and the band is something to behold.
REYES is an internationally renowned harpist and violinist. Born in Paraguay, he moved to the US at an early age already deemed a child prodigy. He established himself in the Bay Area as one of the premier performing artists on his instruments. Classically trained and with multitudes of credits, REYES transcends any specific style. He combines Latin elements with jazz and blues as well as other world music genres. He has performed with such artists as Chuck Mangione, John Handy, Auturo Sandoval, as well as the Doobie Brothers and Steve Miller. REYES and ROGERS combined forces with Brazilian vocal/guitar goddess Badi Assad on last year’s STRINGSHOT release.
