This pairing brings together two of blues music’s most promising young guitar slingers. Toby Lee, 17, was dubbed a future superstar of the blues by Joe Bonamassa, and his resume certainly shows that he’s on his way. A video of his jam with Ronnie Baker Brooks at a Denmark festival went viral with over 115 million views, and in 2018, Toby was named Young Blues Artist of the Year at the UK Blues Awards. Joining Toby is his friend Timothy James, an emerging star who has established himself as a force around Portland, a city that has known its share of world-class talent. Just 20, Timothy, too, has done impressive things, including performing with Curtis Salgado and Walter Trout, performing at NAMM and getting invited to audition for American Idol. This year marks the fourth time Timothy will have played the Waterfront Blues Festival.
