Spectacular Fireworks: Feel the thunderWBF Fireworks

Largest July 4th fireworks display in Oregon takes center stage

It’s a Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival tradition! The Waterfront Blues Festival presents a spectacular display of fireworks on July 4th to celebrate America’s rich, original and most important contribution to music—the blues. KINK fm102 will simulcast the soundtrack.

Enjoy listening to fabulous blues right up to the time the first fireworks burst in the sky to “oohs” and “ahhs” at 10:05 p.m. on July 4. People begin staking out their favorite viewing spots at about 6 p.m.

Admission to the festival and its fireworks presentation is $10 donation per person per day plus two cans of nonperishable food. 100 percent of donations benefit Oregon Food Bank.

Bring a sweater or light jacket and a small pad or blanket to sit on.

Tip: Once you arrive at the festival on July 4, plan to stay. If the fire marshall determines the festival has reached its capacity, gates will close. Those outside the festival gates will not be allowed in -- even if they entered previously. (Exception: Those who have purchased a special pass in advance.)

Waterfront Blues Festival fireworks show: largest display in Oregon. As long as the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival has had fireworks, Western Display Fireworks has produced the display with Bob Gobet, company owner, as the lead pyrotechnician. The three-generation company, located in Canby, Ore., originated in 1948 and has been producing fireworks shows for 60 years in the Northwest and around the United States . On July 4, the company will supply more than 250 fireworks displays throughout the country.

Sound track simulcast on KINK fm102
Producers will choreograph the show to a musical sound track by Bob Ancheta of KINK fm102.

Watching the fireworks off-site from the festival? Tune to KINK fm102 to hear a simulcast of the soundtrack while watching the fireworks.
